Loved my visit at this restaurant.
They were quite busy, but I managed to snag a small table. Staff are very friendly and cheeky and great to have a laugh with!
The food is traditional German food, prepared freshly and served in large portions. Absolutely delicious!

One of the best restaurants in Berlin to taste the real German traditional dishes.
Always nice environment, very friendly people. The best guarantee is that about half customers are local German customers from Berlin that are known to the waiters.
Old fashioned furniture with nice Berlin style. Very good traditional food: eisbein, schnitzel, leaver. 9 choices of draft beers, several other beers. Honest prices. High quality and quality/price ratio throughout the years: it's the third time in the last 6 years (I don't live in Berlin), always very satisfied.

I am being forced to give the place 3 stars because although the food was extremely delicious for me and the people I was with and that the place is also very cozy and well decorated, the service was incredible unfriendly (and that is taking into account that I live in Berlin). All the waitress with whom we have contact with, were very rude and they one of them made a mistake and was even more angry.

I personally will try not to visit the place anymore and feel sad about it, because the food was from heaven and the environment is very cool.

Service: Awesome! Iris made me feel like a brother who gets teased by his sister. Super on top, friendly, always with a little smile on her face. Lovely typical German sarcasm

Food: outstanding, tasteful German food! I found, it was well priced. For a massive dish (Zwiebelrostbraten) and a beer I paid less than 25 bucks. They actually do serve authentic German food!

Location: Easy to find - either bar car but also via public transportation. It's a cute place.

Drinks: a diversity of beers are available here, I'm sure they have a well equipped bar, too.

Music: atmospheric, easy and not disturbing - I am talking about the restaurant mumbling. Didn't hear much music ????

Comments: it's a great, authentic oasis in Berlin for a dinner perfect for a little get together. The food was good. Recommendable.

My favourite restaurant in Berlin, which I now visit on every trip to the city. The house schnitzel is fabulous - the best I've ever had (and I've had a few), the drink selection is good and the staff are brilliant. Hats off to the gentleman who works there whose name I am ashamed to say I do not know (bald head, tattoos) who is super friendly and has twice now been very patient with my terrible German. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Wanted to try some local German dishes while I was in town for a few days. Our server was friendly. Tried the pork schnitzel it was delicious paired with the lemon slices.

What can I say? It's being eaten up by us tourists, especially lost, rich Americans who read about it in some fancy place, but they still manage to keep some rough German charm (...), both to the food and the waitering. Decent selection of beer and snaps, hey they even had some Linjeakevitt!
