I have visited this restaurant twice, one for lunch and one for dinner.

The lunch a'la Carte is pretty much what you can expect from an asian restaurant. The food is good and and the price is also reasonable.

I went here for dinner with hot pot all you can eat. This is the first hotpot I ate in a restaurant. (my friends are often made this hot pot kind of food).

My review is not about the restaurant and their food but rather the hot pot in general.

Hot pot is a seasonal food, not something that you eat once you're in the mood (like sushi or burgers) and you can feel you've had enough pretty fast.
Be careful with the spicy soup, your lip will suffer, as my upper lip goes numb for a few days. (my friend assure me that was the effect of sechuan peppers). It's not spicy by any means, but the numb lip is pretty worrying.
please don't come on half full stomach as the food is really stomach filling, and in the end you can't eat more and it is really a pity for me.

the owners (the old Chinese couple i assume), are really kind and I hope their business can strive in the future

Hot pot is my favorite, and Chen wok is also my favorite, comparing other hot pot restaurants in Berlin. Chen’s Wok offer more variety of food choices! If you would you to taste authentic Chinese food. I highly recommend this place. 很好吃。

If you've ever been to a Asia grocery store you will know that all of the stuff they serve for the hotpot all you can eat here, can be bought preprepped from the store. 1 to 1.

You are limited to 2 meat orders per person. Which again is the pre prepped frozen stuff you get from the Asian grocery store.
And for that you're paying like 17euros.
You'll additionally have to pay for food packing, as well as a fine per 100g of left over food.
You know any left over food from the stuff they buy for a fraction the cost prepackaged from the next grocery store.
Also, drinks are crazy expensive. Canned .33l drinks that you can also buy in the Asian grocery store for 1€ costs like 4.5€ there.

I think clueless people that don't know any better might enjoy it, but ethnical people or people that had real hot pot once in their life, probably won't.

Overall tho very predatory pricing and practices as well as sub average food.

We really enjoyed our time spending here (2,5 hours of dipping raw ingredients in in the tasty broths). I have to also highlight their amazing sauces which you could just mix together (yummy!). Service was great too and took care of us like we were VIP guests.

If you like authentic Chinese food, you are right at Chen's Wok restaurant. You can order à la carte or do the hot pot. Hot pot comes in a two compartment Wok. Both filled with sauce. One is spicy the other one is hot. Choose the ingredients as you like. Take a basket and fill it with a huge variety of delicious treats. Boil them at your table. Delicious!

We went for hotpot and the food itself is satisfactory. There are various choices for
hotpot buffet. Options of seafood is also quiet generous.
Service is so so. We went at 14 so the restaurant is only 20% seated. They totally forgot to bring the hotpot cocker, and again forgot about our beer.
