I would not recommend staying in this hostel. The surgical looking white walls and tiniest little kitchen with no facilities to cook any food did not bring a very nice atmosphere. The "working room" was a big empty room with only a single table and two chairs (could have been turned into a nice kitchen and communal space). You can easily tell that little effort has been put into this hostel. Our labelled milk was stolen, cleaner was rude to my partner, window could only open the tiniest bit so couldn't breath in the hot weather. The front door accessing the appartment block of the hostel and its front door were often left open, didn't feel safe. Sadly, there are many things that could be changed in this place to make it enjoyable. The only good thing we liked were the showers I guess.

They steal my deposit, 3 days before my flight nobody picked up my calls. If you are a foreigner, dont book this place they know you cant reach them after you leave the country and so they dont pay your deposit back.

We were five people in total, arriving from another city to Berlin that day. We've booked the family room, but could only move in from 2pm to 6pm, other hours should be paid 15euro. Our room was nice, but had no mirror and garbage bins inside, so we had to go out to the restroom only where all those things were. Kitchen was extremely small with no spoons and forks but plates and cups. While washing dishes I was hitting my head with some other shelves that small it was. While paying they didn't have change also :/ Overall, it was okay but too expensive for the night in such a place.

First the good bits...
Good location and clean to a point but shower cupboards (yes they are small) had black mould on walls and ceilings.

The rooms are small as are the beds, pillows are just horrible. Whole place is clinical in its look. White walls, cheap furniture, no pictures nothing. It was stifling hot with no air con and this is March, no curtains just cheap blinds that are broke.

Doors bang, footsteps echo throughout the accomodation and from upstairs. You may as well be in a doctors waiting room. Would recommend you look elsewhere as we did. We moved to Safe Stay in Wittenberg which was sublime and cost £30 a night which was cheaper and just a 6 min train journey away.

BNB Brandenburg gate you should be giving people refunds. Worse place I've ever stayed in.

Would not book again and would not recommend to anyone. It is awkwardly placed on a floor in a residential apartment block.
The only good thing is the location near the gate and a supermarket.
Some of the issues that we encountered:
- The staff speak limited english and are often not very friendly.
- We had a room of 6 and were only given one key.
- Reception is not always manned, therefore if you need something/help you have to wait around or all them somehow and us travelling abroad without a local sim made this very challenging.
- The 'common room' is only 3 tables and 6 chairs made from very cheap plastic, therefore only a few people can use the area at one time.
- We were playing cards in the 'common room' and were told very rudely to be quiet at 7pm when quiet time is stated from 10pm. When trying to discuss this point with the staff they just walked off.
- Only 2 people can fit in the kitchen/laundry at a time.
- The room wifi didn't work for the whole floor, therefore we had to use their alternative wifi which was very, very slow and kept dropping out.
