The first thing you notice is the very good energy of the cafe. With kind and energetic waiters ... be sure to try the cake and apple cake

I’ve been wanting to visit this cafe since moving here two years ago, and I finally did yesterday. I sat outside in their space that is on the waterfront. It’s a small space, but spacious enough that I was able to bring my two Huskies with me. The cake was tasty, although it was served on its side in the plate, so the fruit topping slid off. The coffee was good too. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I was a bit turned off as I walked in and was not greeted with a hello, but rather with a statement that they’re closing at 18:30 (I arrived at 17:50). They could use a little refresher training on how to treat your customers.

Found this café by chance whilst exploring Köpenik and loved it.
Service friendly, helpful u0026 patient despite our woeful attempts at german.
Cakes traditional German. A huge selection, we enjoyed every mouthful.
Relaxed atmosphere too.

The service was friendly and the water side front was attractive. I ordered the marzipan, pistachio and nougat cake, the "greenhorn". A couple of bites were okay but it was too sweet/too heavy... Not your typical German cake in the least. I would not recommend this cafe.

Nice environment to have a pause during your visit of Old town Köpenick. Cakes are in a big size.

We ordered a tea kettle instead of tea cups for 2 people from the menu for 4 euros, they brought us a tea kettle. And then in the bill they charged 9 euros because they claimed it was for ‘two people’
That is insane and simply illegal

Definitely a must when you are in this part of the city. Those cakes are incredibly good. You might be a bit shocked by the price, however those pieces are so big that you will understand why. But don't be afraid to order just half of a slice. Coffee is good and the staff very friendly on old fashioned maids outfits. Always a pleasure to drop by.
