I visited here a few years ago. An amazing piece of Stuttgart area fire fighting history. Allow yourself a few hours to take everything in and awe at the exhibitions. They have fire appliances from 1400's to recent times. And, the staff at the fire museum are actually full-time fire-fighters. They take it turns (I think a week or so at a time) to work at the museum. It is actually part of their roster. Apparently so they can learn about their history and don't forget their roots. There are so many fantastic exhibits here, not only fire trucks but an array of other things too, and so much information to learn from. It is definitely worth a visit. You'll be fascinated. The fire brigade and the fire-fighters do a great job.
