Our original estimation was that the visit won't last more than half an hour. How wrong! The level of details, captured in what was Stuttgart couple of decades ago, will keep you in this Museum way longer ???? Museum personnel can also tell you a very interesting story how this idea started and how it became a (more than) local topic.

It is very interesting and incredible what was put together. The tour guide was really impressive how much he knew. Also interesting for the children as they had to look for scenes.

Place is great for miniature train lovers. 4 stars because the guy at the reception was not the best of the whole experience.

This place is amazing and, though currently somewhat small, is incredibly detailed and highlights Stuttgarts massive rail presence. The layout is growing to include the airport area as well. The owner was on site and very keen to highlight his 30 years of building these models!

Wahrhaftig ein Meisterwerk.
Hätte beim Hinfahren nie gedacht, dass mich das so umhaut.
Ein Wunder wie man mit so einer Detailgenauigkeit und Präzision arbeiten kann.
Das Parken war zwar ein bisschen umständlich aber die Mühe wert!!!
Die spontane und kostenfreie Führung durch das "kleine Stuttgart" war sehr nett und informationsreich. Essen und Trinken kann man auch sehr gut direkt vor Ort. Auch hier wirklich freundliches und kompetentes Personal, das nicht lange auf sich warten lässt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unglaublich gut.
Ich empfehle jedem, auch wenn man nichts mit Miniaturen anfangen konnte bisher, hier einmal herzukommen. Es lohnt sich!

BUT - there are still hard-working helpers who try to keep the system running and they enthusiastically explain which part of the system is where in Stuttgart, what Stuttgart has rebuilt, what has been changed, etc. Also on the small important details attention is drawn to the development and various gimmigs.

Of course it's not as demanding as in Hamburg, but it's worth seeing. Also because you get a lot of old knowledge from Stuttgart.

Without the explanations, however, the visit would not last 1 1/2 hours, but only 15 minutes. That's why I deduct 1 star. I don't think that two hard-working helpers could cope with a larger rush.

Die Miniatur Modellbahn Anlage ist wirklich sehenswert.

Hier wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail das alte, ursprüngliche Stuttgart von vor 30 Jahren wiedergegeben. Für Einheimische ist dies sicherlich sehr spannend. Wenn man als Tourist vorbei kommt ist es eher schön anzusehen, jedoch wäre man in 15 min durch.

ABER - da sind ja noch fleißige Helfer, die versuchen die Anlage am Laufen zu halten und sie erklären mit einer Begeisterung, welcher Teil der Anlage sich wo in Stuttgart befindet, was Stuttgart umgebaut hat, was verändert wurde usw. Auch auf die kleinen wichtigen Details über die Entstehung und verschiedene Gimmigs wird aufmerksam gemacht.

Natürlich ist es nicht so anspruchsvoll wie in Hamburg, allerdings sehenswert. Auch weil man viel altes Wissen von Stuttgart mitbekommt.

Ohne die Erklärungen würde der Besuch allerdings keine 1 1/2 Std. dauern sondern eben nur 15 min. Deshalb ziehe ich auch 1 Stern ab. Ich denke nämlich nicht, das zwei fleißige Helfer einen größeren Ansturm bewältigen könnten.
