Excellent, very comfortable hotel

Especially good: quiet rooms (seems walls are soundproof!); comfortable bed and bathroom; all very clean; excellent, comprehensive breakfast; in a quiet corner just outside of Stuttgart center but just beside the U-bahn with direct connection into town

Only one small issue: despite check-out being at 12pm and having the “please do not enter/clean the room” sign on my door, housekeeping opened the room at 8:30am the day of my departure, while I was still asleep. Hopefully a better system can be put in place for this, since I see in the reviews here that this has happened to others!

It was a good experience during my entire stay. Staffs were very co-operative. it was good location-wise too. It is near by U-bahn(Kursaal) halt and just beside the Bus stop. Only from S-bahn(from Badcannstat, s-Bahn), it it little far around 1km.
I liked the Breakfast menu. Since there were enough things for vegetarians. Specially fresh fruits, salad and juices.
Being a guest, i was expecting a kettle in my room for making our own tea/coffee. But that is ok.
i did not have dinner and lunch here . so i can not tell.
rest everything was ok for me in-terms of cleanliness, english speaking staff.

Guy who checked us in was great. Spoke good English. He recognized us the second day and was very engaging and answered all our questions!
Great room - we had a family room so had a nice amount of space.

I will not stay at this hotel again because of the rude attitude of a employee standing at the front desk. When I called to ask if smoking was allowed on the terrace, he tried to charge me 200 Euros as if I had smoked. He refused to check camera, he was also very rude. I hope they get rid of such disrespectful employees. My foreign language is not perfect, I thought he understood me wrong. Doesnt matter, he could be polite. terrible experience.

Moreover, he claims a customer was smoking who stay on 5th flor. But near to elevator on the first flor, there are a lot of cigrates possibly smoked by someone who is on the first flor. I’ve never seen that in this hotel. He must be a new personel, and collect his cigratese there :) I do not understand, why they do not want to check the cameras. Then they could see that I did not smoke.

I am editing my review, because I got information from hotel. This guy is a new personel. Until yesterday I did not get any other problem with hotel. Except this new guy, everything was very good with hotel. I am changing their rank from 1 to 3. If I do not get any other issue next days, I will rank them with 4, that they normally deserved.

Pro: spacious. Room is decent tho it does show signs of tear. Curtains actually had small holes in them, only visible with daylight from outside shining its way through. Good, firm bed mattress. Quiet location. One minute walk to Kursaal station. Free hot choco, coffee, and tea at ground level. There's also a restaurant where you can grab food at the end of the day if you just want to quickly retire to your hotel and avoid the city's buzz.

Con: pillow is too soft and flat. Security concerns listed as follows:
1. Deadbolt could not be locked. Turning it does not move the lock at all.
2. On one day we chose to stay in our room, we saw late morning that our door was opened. We immediately checked our things to ensure nothing was missing. Thankfully, we don't think anything was taken. Yet, it still raises suspicions.
3. During our entire stay, we kept the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and the pouch that they have that indicates we didn't want the hotwl room to be cleaned. We also instructed front desk that we didn't want our room cleaned during the stay. HOWEVER, on our last day, house cleaning immediately opened the door and exclaimed "Oh, you're still here.". Again, this was despite the labels placed on the door. Sure, this was the day we check out but this happened before 10am and check out time was still at 12.

I was amazed by the quality of the hotel. Considering the Black Friday deal I got, couldn't be any better. The room size is very above average, it fit our family of four with ease, the kids had plenty of space to play. Furniture was nice, cleanliness was very good. It's a very complete hotel: great service, great breakfast, in-house parking place, complementary water and coffee available at all times... And on top of that, there is an U-Bahn stop right next to the hotel which connects it to the public transport in Stuttgart. We really enjoyed our stay!
