My wife and I planned a visit to the Saarland Museum in Saarbrücken and wished to have dinner in a good Italian restaurant in the evening. I checked Google and settled on "Trattoria IL mio" because of the good reviews. And it was a great choice. The restaurant is small but comfortable, the service is excellent, the menu limited to relatively few but typical Italian dishes (I am skeptical of restaurants which offer 1000 items on the menu, it can't all be fresh). The meals were EXCELLENT, everything very fresh. One can watch Signor Romano (the owner) in his kitchen, preparing each and every dish with love and dedication. For the quality of the food and service I consider the prices reasonable. Reservations recommended. At peak hours you may have to wait a while until the food arrives but it's worth it! We want to return as soon as possible. Maybe for lunch? Thank you Signor Romano and staff.

Wirklich ein tolles Restaurant in Saarbrücken. Das Essen war von der Vorspeise, über den Hauptgang bis zum Nachtisch wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Der Hausaperitiv ist wirklich zu empfehlen und auch die Weinkarte ist gut ausgesucht. Der Service ist spitzenklasse- Freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich oder unangenehm. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist gemütlich und romantisch und super geeignet für einen Abend zu zweit oder auch ein Essen mit der Familie. Hier kann man zu wirklich guten Preisen einen wunderbaren Abend verbringen. Kann ich allen Saarbrücker*innen und Gästen nur wärmstens empfehlen.
