Unfortunately our cat is a frequent visitor to the Tierheim, he’s an adopted street cat that doesn’t like to stay at home.
So “If you see my big white cat (Snowy)
Please drive him home!”
The Tierheim staff are very cooperative and friendly!

I reached out a few weeks ago to inquire about a dog listed. They get the applications but will not give you the courtesy to respond back telling you that they have received the application. I had to send the same email over and over again until I got a response. I understand they get tons of emails and phone calls all day. When i finally got an answer and the lady was nice about it, but its rude when you are advertising these pets but won't tell us that we were not accepted. I was told that each time I need to inquire about a pet I will need to resubmit a new application. I did that and was told that because they cannot get access to the base they cannot let us adopt the pet (visitors can be signed on so they can have access with proper identification and a valid reason for being on base). But this was not the case about 2 weeks ago when they were recommended. Terrible customer service and a waste of my time when they knew they would not honor my application in the beginning.

They have very few dogs and cats compared to their American counterparts, which isn't a bad thing. The dogs were mostly older or had behavior issues, but some were very adoptable. They have totally random visiting hours, so be prepared to go only on select days. It was clean, and they exercise and walk the dogs regularly.

Unbelievably arrogant workers and totally unfriendly. I was there to adopt a dog, knowingly the pet center was full of different kinds and ages, but unfortunately I was faced with many racist answers reactions, made me feel that I would adopt him to cook him later! Though I had for sure the full conditions of pet adoptions. Indeedly it was a bad experience to be there and the worst that they refused giving me any further informations!

We went there looking for a dog and found a small dog. We took the dog for an hour walk and all was fine including filling out the paperwork. However, I felt some questions were biased because of the gray hair and wondered who would take care of the dog if I would get sick as if other folks do not get sick. Some other Tierheims do not ask this question and not certain if this is employee related. After talking with my brother things went downhill. So, the reason for the one star is because of the difficulty in trying to obtain a dog that one likes and the implications of being too old to acquire a dog as if they have the magic life crystal ball.

Wir dachten, dass ein Tierheim den Menschen erlaubt, ein Haustier mit nach Hause zu nehmen und nicht so kompliziert zu sein. Wir haben falsch über dieses Tierheim geraten. (Google)
