Exceptionally friendly staff that makes you smile. Free charging for electrical vehicles in (paid) underground parking. Really good value for money.

I made a reservation to Living Hotel Nürnberg. After the significant rise of COVID-19 cases in the area, I communicated with them 1 week before my booked date u0026 asked if they would offer a partial compensation as I would cancel my trip due to health concerns. They denied any compensation. Just after the reserved date the hotel cancelled my reservation on Booking although I have paid the whole amount! The reason for that was clearly so that I will not be able to review my experience. Such a cheap behaviour for a 200€ reservation.
The hotel says I should have paid a "cancellation at any time" rate which was extremely overpriced and since there were no lockdown concerns when I made the booking I didn't choose, but they will not respond why they cancelled my Booking reservation while charging the full amount. They should be ashamed for trying to make full profit without offering any service, yet they pretend to be "fair".

This hotel is in a convenient location not far from public transit. The amenities are excellent. The room was above our expectations but was not as pictured. The website depicts very modern updated rooms but they are not. However they are tastefully furnished and comfortable. In fact, even the economy rooms are suites. They are roomy and homey. The breakfast buffet that was included in the price of the room was extensive and delicious. The reason I did not give a 5-star rating was due to the fact the website advertised air-conditioning but no rooms have it. There are only free- standing fans in the room. The hotel staff did what they could to accommodate us anyway. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great and cozy hotel.
I stayed in for one night and it was gorgeous.
I don't see why people are talking about hidden charges like for the breakfast.
At the Check-In, the nice lady us explained everything, regarding that we didnt order breakfast but that we can still change, which would up the cost but it's completely up to us.

The rooms are more than clean and organized. You'll get a handful of bagged drinks like tea and coffee and also 2 bottles of water and 2 beers, which we were to find in the minibar, also free of charge.
A kitchen is included as well, with everything one would need like pans, pots, cutlery, ...
A tour guide was fully charged and ready for usage with internet and free phone calls, if necessary.
The beds were cozy and the linings were soft and clean.
I really loved the fact that a fan was sitting in a corner as well, due to the warm nights we currently are experiencing.
We also found items like a small safe, a hot iron and the ironing table, tucked away in the cabinets next to the door.
The bathroom was clean and some toiletries were included as well.
Room service was fast and friendly. I asked for an extra set of towels and within 2 minutes someone knocked on the door to hand them in.

The only 2 "bad" things were that
1. The TV was slightly outdated and thus very slow and in rather low quality
2. The cupboard next to the bed was placed way too close to the balcony door, making it almost impossible to open it more than half the way (this was room 127)

Overall, a great place to stay.
I'll make sure to only visit the living, when around.

It is a clean and comfortable hotel. But if you plan to stay long, then the washing machines are a big problem. There are only 2 machines for a huge hotel and they are always busy.

The room was very clean, warm and the bed perfect. Bathroom was really well-made. Staff is efficient. We got an apartment with kitchen, which was very useful.
The location is a little bit far from the center (I mean 10 minutes by walk) but the price of our room was very affordable. The only thing to change (which was not a deal breaker) is the wi-fi connexion: too much complex to connect, and sometimes weak or making error connections.

We stayed in the suites and the experience was very good, clean areas, helpful people. We especially loved that you can buy water bottles from them for a very good price. We were very dehydrated on our trip and this was very helpful. The parking was great as well. Breakfast delicious.
