Absolutely fantastic experience.

Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for the name of the waitress, she was relaxed, attentive, patient and delightful. And spoke English. A wonderful lady.

Me and my siblings came in by accident, and were immediately attracted by a very warm atmosphere. All the places were taken, however we were friendly informed that there will be a place in 45 minutes, so we booked.

Once we're landed, we ate from the day menu and the regular menu. Mushrooms soup, delicious meat, vegetarian dishes and a fantastic desert.

I must say, the place is a gem and again, the service was brilliant.

We came here 2 years ago, just before the pandemic and had good memories of great food and friendly service. It was just how we remembered it. Fortunately it's still going strong serving fantastic traditional food in a great atmosphere with very friendly service. Highly recommended.

It is a very historical looking, which I like. Had 6 Bratwürste with potato and cabbage???? and two coffee. If I come to Nürnberg again, I would like to visit this restaurant again and order some more dishes????

Great atmosphere, professional service explaining all options.
Food was very nice. Price was comparable to other restaurants in the neighborhood, but felt lesser touristic than the ones in the Konigsallee.

Really nice authentic place with an rustic medieval touch to it. You can feel and see the history in this place. Old wooden floors and wall paneling, old lead glass windows and hand carved wooden figurines.
Very nice, kind and friendly staff. We had a good time with our waiter Daniel. The food is exceptional. I never had Sauerkraut like theirs before. The pork shoulder served on the bone (Schäufle) nice and tender with crispy fried skin and a light brown sauce.
Somebody complained on google about the little choices of beer they offer - they have the Kellerbier from the tab - which is fantastic. How many beers do you need if there is one awesome one (St. Georgen Bräu Kellerbier)? Even during Covid times our stay here was pleasant and enjoyable. We'll definetly come back next time we're in Nürnberg.

Small serves? Don’t think so.
Great place, came for a late lunch so reservations weren’t a problem. Servings are large, I couldn’t finish. Beer was tasty, I was happy. Staff didn’t mind my bad German and didn’t try to correct me or reply in English, although now I read they speak English I wouldn’t have tried so hard in German ;-)
