Wow this restaurant Altes Gasthaus Leve was good. Had a spectacular dinner with my visiting parents here, and I could not be happier with the place. I am definitely coming back. The food was super delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, the drinks and dessert all were superb. Fantastic ambience as well. I highly recommend checking it out.

A recommendation from a german friend, to eat local food. And he was successful.
Delicious dishes and beer, and I highly recommend to eat knuckle (roasted one). Also take into account that the portions are huge. This is a must to visit in Munster.

Stopped here for a beer, and some had a cake. All good quality and staff were available. Prices were decent. Only down side is the location was a little drab but not to put me off returning if ever in the city again.

Had the pork knuckle with red cabbage. 5/5 wow! Amazing food.

Perfectly cooked, an abundance of crackling, very nice potatoes

this one is a strange one - food looks incredible boring but is surprisingly awesome with the flavours trumping the misleading looks

in this case - the Kraut and bratwurst (and mashed potatoes) was really good!

would recommend!

Our expectations were met! Traditional German food and atmosphere for a good price. Fast service even though it was pretty busy.

I don't understand why this place is so well rated. Food looks good but unfortunately the seasoning is a complete disaster. Bratkartoffeln were way too salty while the sauce of my friend's paprika Schnitzel was far too sweet and not home made. Tourist trap you should avoid.
