Rarely has a restaurant left me so puzzled whether to leave 4 or 5 stars.

Yet, the Sushi u0026 Soul made it really hard.

The food was delicious and fresh. They also have a great selection of sake, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, however, may open new horizons to some.

So what made me choose 4 over 5 stars?

First of all, the service felt a bit slow (albeit they were friendly). The sushi menu - to me - was a bit too hipster and 'new age' with lots of own creations. For a sushi purist like myself, who prefers more traditional Japanese recipes, it was too much.

The location, too, felt too large and gave the sushi u0026 soul kind of 'all you can eat' vibes.

That being said - the Sushi u0026 Soul was a great stay and I would recommend it to most people.

One of my new favorite places in Munich! I’ve been wanting to go for a long time - it is amazing! Tons of options, cocktails half price after 11pm (Sun-Thurs) and sushi half price after 10pm (also Sun-Thurs). Everything is super fresh and really tasty! Very good service and a great vibe. We have zero complaints and loved every single thing we ordered! ???? Our favorites were the tempura, anything with yellowtail or scallops, and the cocktails!

The best sushi restaurant that I've been visited so far!
The sushi, the cocktail and the ambience are all TOP! ????
I was there with my friends on New Year's Eve and it's still memorable for me. Would love to go back there if I visit München again ????

Recommended place!
Sushi is nice, the staff is very friendly u0026 you also can see how the staff is preparing u0026 making sushi! :)

Food was okay. I liked the seaweed salad, yakitori and prawns. I don’t like the cold snapper and sushi was only okay. Service was poor. No smile, no friendliness. Bento was expensive. Out of the 3 drinks I had ordered, I only liked one. The other two were too sour. We were served by a female waitress who looked like she had botox and therefore couldn’t smile.

We are 3 people. Two of us paid 9% tip. Another friend paid less. The waitress commented that in Germany, we are supposed to pay 7-10% tip. I said it’s up to the customer to pay how much they want but she insisted on this range. So in the end, my friend was forced to pay a 10% tip. We live here for many years and this is the first time we encounter such a service.

No go for me. There are better restaurants than Sushi+Soul.

Great sushi, wine u0026 maccha ice cream. :)
That is all I tried out for now and I will come back for sure! :) The ambient is great and the stuff is really nice and attentive! ????

Sushi is pretty good. Especially the “Torpedo Maki” are worth a shot. The selection of Whisky and Whisky cocktails is also great. We had very personal guidance by the barkeeper as well.

Then why only 1STAR?
We have been multiple times there and the quality is not consistent. Sometimes the drinks were very watery, other times the sushi was not that good. But that the employees start putting the chairs on the tables ~30min before closing while still multiple tables are occupied always kills the vibe and honestly makes it hard to recommend this place for a relaxed dinner.
