A little piece of Japan in Munich, a small place where you can taste a really tasty and delicious Ramen that can literally warm your soul and your heart. Even the sides are really nice. It's a real Japanese place that respect all the typical traditions from Japan.

Authentic Japanese experience, highly recommend!

It's so rare to experience the real Japanese experience at the heart of Munich, without burning the hole through my pocket. This restaurant really honor the Japanese culinary art by decorating it in a traditional way, making it very cosy and welcoming. Sushi served in room temperature, so everything is freshly prepared right out of the kitchen (and well worth the wait).

While other sushi bars might trade quality to lower the cost, I hardly find anything to complain at this bar. From the taste of the rice, to the thickness of the seaweed, the tenderness of the sashimi, I know I'm getting the real deal, and they are worth every penny. The Tonkotsu ramen looks straight out of some cookbook, and tasted equally impressive.

This will be my go to sushi bar to years to come.

Very quick service and quality food. Best ramen I've had in a long time and good value for the price. Definitely recommended!

Everyone who ever tasted the real japanese ramen knows it: the hole it leaves in your heart. After few days of sipping the last drop of broth you realize it. It grows day by day and leaves you only with increasing desire for the next bowl of tonkotsu, shoyo or miso ramen.

To satisfy this specific desire I decided to visit Shoya. No need to tell you that expectations were sky-high.
No surprise with 3-star rating, the hole in my heart is still there.
The broth was OK but not the real deal, meat was good but lacks the right flavor and the egg was boiled on the point but had not the taste.

I only judge the tonkotsu ramen which were far from original though eatable. People striving to fill their hole won't find relief here.

Please not to say this is Japanese.

It is much better to go to “ Izakaya Shoya am Platzl.”

The Ramen soup was too salty and tasted terrible. The rice was too hot and dry, I’m 100% sure it was microwaved.
There are menus written by Japanese, but please do not trust. It is all faked Japanese foods. And customer services were also not good, they brought to me everything wrong. How is it possible?
I am so sad that people think this is a Japanese restaurant.

Honestly, my friend told me this is legit Japanese place so I had higher expectations. No one there spoke Japanese so that already gave me a bit of doubt but they also used straight noodle for miso ramen. Rice dish was pretty disappointing with flavor and texture as well. At least the flavor of ramen soup was good. Service was not very friendly either though it’s a quick service kind ic place.
Probably sadly I will never gonna go again.

I came with my family and we left very satisfied and happy.
Thank you so much to the place because we pass a very good time.
Even if you don't speak German they try to give you the best service. If you want sushi this is the best place:)
