I stayed here for several nights with some family members and I would not recommend this place to others. There were a lot of issues that I found a hard time looking past…
First, the bathroom situation is terrible. There’s no actual enclosed bathroom, it’s basically just the hallway into the room. The shower is glass-walled and totally out in the open, save for frosted glass from neck to ankles. In a situation staying with family members, there was practically no privacy and it was very uncomfortable for a situation with family/mixed genders.
Additionally, the pillows on the bed are bad. They’re the kind that look really fluffy but as soon as you lay your head down, all the fluff moves and your head has no support.
I was also really displeased the housekeeping. They came everyday, and I always came back to my belongings moved around. I understand needing to move something off the bed to be able to re-make the bed, but I would come back to my belongings on the shelf re-arranged, which made me pretty uncomfortable that they were touching my things (ex: collecting all of my makeup and putting it into one corner). They also never gave us enough towels (ex: would take away 3 dirty towels, but only replace with one clean one). They also always unplugged anything in the outlets, which I assume is to save power, but it was frustrating if I left my laptop plugged in to charge all day or to update and came back to it not fully charged.
We also had two separate instances of having a random item from our suitcase being wet, and we could not possibly figure out why. It was in two separate suitcases, different days, and opposite sides of the room. No spills, no discernible leaks, no wet towels nearby, just random wet clothes for no reason. Really makes me wonder what housekeeping is doing in there while we’re out.
They have a bar downstairs in the lobby, but they don’t have a proper bartender working it, rather the front desk staff doubles to make the drinks. The drinks were not impressive, and the person had to pull up the recipe on their phone to make it for me. If there’s a bar, would have preferred to have a proper bartender.
I didn't use the fitness facilities, but was told by my family members that it was not an ideal set-up. They said that the equipment that's there was more aesthetic than functional, and was super small.
This is a smaller grievance, but they only provide shampoo and no conditioner in the bathroom. Makes a huge difference for me as a carry-on traveler to have conditioner provided.
Another more minor thing, but it’s about a 5-7 minute walk to the nearest U-bahn station, and I think if I were to re-book in Munich again, I’d want to be a lot closer to a train line (more like 2 minutes walking max). Makes a big difference, especially if you’re getting around with luggage!
All in all, I would not recommend. For me, the bathroom situation combined with the housekeeping/wet clothes issues just makes this place no practical at all.
