What a great experience! The food was so delicious, and especially the Aubergine starter I fell in love with! So beautifully spicy and flavorful. The owner does all of the spice mixes himself and wants to give the guest an authentic afghan food experience. I will definitely be back! Side note: Payment is cash only.

All round excellent experience. Easy to book, the guy on the phone was able to speak English perfectly which made things very easy. Very friendly and attentive service even though the restaurant was very busy. The spicy aubergine starter (borani banjan) was delicious, and the qorma lawand (chicken in a spicy yoghurt curry) was one of the best dishes I've ever had! Be warned, if you don't like spicy, these two dishes will not suit you! so maybe ask for recommendations to suit your tastes. We couldn't fit in a dessert as we were so full after dinner, but they looked great. I will definitely come back next time I am in Munich and can't recommend this restaurant enough. I also didn't realise there are a few of these Chopan restaurants around Munich so if you can't get a booking at one try one of the others.

We enjoyed this place so much. The owner is absolutely charming. He recommended great dishes and really knows how to treat his customers. The decor inside the store is very cute as well. It’s on the pricy side but to come here once in awhile totally fine.

While the online menu seems to currently have a formatting issue, eating at the restaurant in person was a wonderful experience. The party got a few appetizers, and basically ordered the Spezialitäten Vom Lavasteingrill Menu, and everything was fantastic.

A big disappointment!!! Food portions were only enough for kids and very overpriced meals. We ordered Dopiaza and it was one of the worst. Never going there again.

Really good food. My first experience in a Afghan restaurant. The dish I had (36) really delicious, the rice with saffron, almonds, pistachios a good equilibrium of different species. Only problem the place is a bit small and it is divided in two different locations not connected.

We were asked to leave!!!!

We arrive and the place was still half empty so we wanted to have a different table since ours was by the toilets. The waiter's response was why do we think we were better than anyone else, even though the tables were empty at the time. Completely uncalled for. So we decide to just let it go and move on with our eve, then for him to come to our table advising us to leave. I have never in my life seen worse hospitality.
