I stayed in Munich Schwabing hotel between for 2 nights (25/26 August 2022).
The room was nice and everything was ok and I was very happy with the service on checkout.
I called the day after with regards to a pair of shoes I forgot at the hotel room, and called again the following day.
The operator confirmed that a pair of shoes had been found at my room (she asked for my booking details etc, and described the colour, size and brand, and they matched with the shoes I forgot) and advised me to pick them up.
The following day I went to pick up the shoes as I had to catch a flight later that day. When I arrived at the reception I was greeted by Hamas.
After being asked to wait for almost half an hour despite I stressed that I had a flight to catch the receptionist looked for the shoes, and after 15 minutes of looking he advised that the shoes were not found. After I stressed that they had confirmed from their end that the shoes were at their end as it had been confirmed by the operator, he said that there was nothing he can do and I had to leave to get ready for the flight.
Therefore, the shoes were either
- Misplaced by an employee and lost within a span of a few hours
- Stolen
- Put somewhere where the receptionist couldn't find it
I subsequently cancelled all reservations to Premier Inn uk which I had booked.
