Stumbled upon this gem in search food late in the night. This is nice, clean bar that serves drinks, beer and food. The place has good old style dart game boards, arcade machines. You will find folks playing chess with mug of beer on the side.

Don't be misled by the initial appearance of a ubiquitous local pub -because this is an authentic ubiquitous local pub! The lynchpin of the whole thing is the fluent-english barman, who walked out to welcome me, engage me in discussions about Bavarian brews, and overall made me feel very welcome indeed. These places live and die by their personnel, and this place, I dearly hope, will live on.

Never before, ever, did I have a bartender tell me "You've tried all our interesting brews. You shouldn't dilute your experience by drinking more regular beers."

We stumbled across this place because it was near our air bnb and although it is a bit divey, the ambience was old school German pub. We loved it!!! The owner and bartender didn't speak English but we navigated ordering beers pretty well. He plays sorts games on TV and there is much memorabilia on the walls the look at. I wish we found this place earlier in our stay so we could have visited more often.

Came here with two non-drinking friends. I ordered a beer, but instead of letting me buy one, the bloke just seemed incredulous that I only wanted one beer, then proceed to demean us as children. Quite funny at the time, and we left laughing and ordering nothing; but the quality of service was awful in hindsight! Go if you want to meet the grumpiest man in Barvaria; if not, keep well away.

Friendly service. Nice quieter beer hall, prime spot for an evening game of chess with a couple of friends.
