One of the most beautiful historical, architectural and cultural part of Munich. It is located in the central part of the city and is a place where a huge number of passers-by, visitors and tourists spend or gather all day. Nearby is the Royal Residence, minutes from Marien Platz and the English Garden. The buildings have historical significance for Bavaria and the history of all of Germany. This place is always in the top 5 places you should visit if you are visiting the city. I would rate it with the highest grade. 10/10

This is a large yard inspired from roman era with the 2 bronze columns and the arched historical Monument of Bavaria at the entrance, Theatine kirche on the right and Munichresidence/historical wall on the left. the floor is built with stones and encraved a painting like the roman art. here historical events took place from the Bavarian kings era to the late 20th century. a very busy tourist attraction and place for many events.

One of the most impressive open places of Europe, not just Munich. If you are looking lucky, you can enjoy one evening in the area. Lighting makes it even more majestic. If you have time, find the wine cellar that is across from the church, great seats to enjoy this attraction.

Odeonsplatz is near Marienplatz, which is is a walk away. Historical sights overpower you as you exit the Ubahn station. The main square, the church, complimented by the alleys makes this place a worth visit. One must walk from Odeonsplatz to Marienplatz in order to get a feel for the place. Lots of shops for everyone to choose and buy from. Otherwise you can just stick to window shopping. Offers a totally surreal experience at night hours. It's like a whole new place compared to the morning. A must visit place if you are in Munich.

Currently, there is an art installation by Janet Echelman, "Earth 1.26 Munich". It changes constantly due to the natural forces and inspired by the 3D data model of the ocean's surface following an earthquake. It looks very interesting with the historical buildings and futuristic art installation.

So we did this tour with StattReisen to explore the history of National Socialism in Munich. Introductions were given to our group, then, in smaller groups of four or five we were given tasks to solve at various localities. Here, at Odeonsplatz, our group had to find out the angle from which the historic photo was taken. By aligning the head of the lion in front of Feldherrnhalle and the facade of Theatinerkirche we were led to the conclusion that this must have been taken on the top of the steps leading to Feldherrnhalle, on the left side.

It was a great Tour. Unfortunately our group size was much too big to work without headsets. It was hardly possible to hear the tour guide at all, an aspect that requires improving.
