I just went only in the ground floor. In ground floor there are many variety of design shop like, LV, Gucci, Prada and many more... In the entrance you will see more on make-ups and perfumes. All the saleslady/salesman is kind and friendly. Oberpollinger is surrounded by more shops and restaurant and near Rathaus München.

I love going to oberpollinger because I love testing and buying fragrances and they do have an amazing collection from so many Niche houses. Some among the staff are knowledgable and very pleasant. The ladies at platinum bar and the man at Xerjoff and Roja are a delight to interact with. Having said that if you have to invest in a 200€ plus perfume anyone would want to test it out first before buying. I wanted to do the same before buying Kilian and the lady sales associate for Kilian rudely asked me to keep the bottle back and smell from the cap. To me that is clearly disrespectful and was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at a perfume store. I’m not sure if the she was rude to me because I am a brown woman as I have seen her interact very pleasantly with locals. If at all they care about customer service then they should educate the staff to be mindful of their behaviour.

The store is very big with lots of different brands either in a brand boutique or in the general store. The store was extremely busy on a Saturday and although the store stocks lots of brands it can be a bit difficult to find what you are looking for. Also, it is very difficult to find members of staff, because they don't wear a uniform. The health precautions are excellent and everyone is required to wear an FFP2 mask.

I love Oberpollinger...the best for your luxury shopping. Check out the Christmas ornaments, they are hilarious. And for the best makeup and costumer service go to Charlotte Tilbury. Simply WOW.

Oberpollinger is located near Karlstor on Neuhauser Straße in the pedestrian area of Munich's Old Town. This is one of the largest department stores in the city of Munich found within a beautiful Neo-Renaissance building constructed in 1905 by German architect Max Littmann.

The department store is open from 10am to 8pm daily but closed on Sundays. You'll find upscale and designer shops selling brand names shoes, apparel, accessories, fashion and beauty products. There are cafes and a bar at Oberpollinger as well.

What we enjoyed seeing when we passed by Oberpollinger recently were the window displays featuring a range of themed Nutcracker scenes. These were creative and attractive, particularly after dark when the windows were lit up well. Do give a few minutes to enjoy the Oberpollinger Christmas window displays if you are visiting this month.

Wanted to see how this compares to Macy’s and there was no disappointment. Great selection and very well laid out. Sales could have been better but not something I factor in too much when traveling. Great selection of men’s essentials and colon. Also connected to some great other stores.
