Nice space. Nice and cool inside. But just to warn as there is no communication on this. What looks like a vent around the entire gallery is actually an alarm sensor…It’s not a bad idea, but it’s poorly executed here with lack of communication, especially as they also put up wires around works making it less apparent that it’s an alarm which when it goes off sounds like a fire alarm. I bet the poor staff in there are constantly having to turn the alarm off

The entrance on Sunday is no longer 1€. The museum is okay. The lighting inside is a little dim for me. The staff is not the friendliest. When you go inside they are always asking you to move away. Then they have these alarms that turn on when you are in a certain part. It is more like an austere place that shows art. The curator did a nice job on the future bodies exhibition but i am afraid the descriptions on the art works were a bit over the top (in English) and yes! The labels for the pieces keep you guessing where they are, sometimes they are on a totally different wall. For me it was not really worth 10€ and i would not go again. Plus, if you carry a totebag with just a small notebook, they will ‘make’ you deposit it and then you may not have change to put in the lock then you may have to go somewhere to get that change.

Amazing museum filled with 2 floors of incomprehensible contemporary art. Thank heavens for a floor of Cy Twombly to rescue the visit. Good cafe space with simple food and drink

The building itself is a great modern architecture piece. The permanent exhibition has on display one of the best pop-art collections I've seen in Europe.

However, after two visits 2 years apart, I feel that the temporary exhibitions aren't on par with the permanent exhibition, both in style and in quality.

Very nice museum, good artworks on the upper floor, but -in my opinion- the ground floor and underground floor had kind of different things that I expected. Very cheap, definitely worth it

The building itself is worth a visit. During our visit the ground floor was closed due to renovations. Therefore we spent a very nice time at the 1st, where Cy Twombly’s works match evenly with the huge and bright interiors.

The initial potential disappointment pays off for the whole tour. Undoubtedly one of the top museums in the city - Munich.
