The restaurant is located in the city center Munich with creative outside courtyard seating. The served food is of very high quality, extremely tasteful and very creative, you can see and taste the current 1 star Guide Michelin and to be one of the seven (7) best restaurants in Munich. We selected the eight (8) course menu with a recommended sparkling wine (phantastic suggestion). The excellent service, was helpful, knowledgeable and made the difference to other restaurants at this level.
A place to visit and to return for more. Well done.

This has been the best one star fine dining experience we've ever had. Simply wow. We pre-ordered one vegetarian and one pescetarian tasting menue in advance. Extremely creative meals, high quality, regional and seasonal ingredients, wonderfully presented and soo tasty. The staff was super welcoming, friendly and relaxed. We had a fantastic night. You also have to visit the museum prior to having dinner there.

Nice, but not great. We were really excited about Mural. The concept of a natural wine focused restaurant is always one we look for. But in this instance we found the story didn’t match the delivery.

1) It was expensive - €500+ for 2 with 6 glass wine pairing and glass of local sparkling.

2) The wine paring started after the snacks and we were suggested to take a glass of sparkling wine to start… IMO if you’re paying for a pairing experience the drinks should start immediately. It just looks like you’re trying to up the average spend. A feeling that was confirmed when we found the standard wine pairing doesn’t cover your deserts and that would be another €80 for two.

3) We went that impressed with most of the wine pairings - definitely subjective, but they seem to go for wines that are not made to compete or even harmonise with the food. They were mostly very lean and short wines that seemed to focus on being a palate cleanser rather than a pairing.

4) The vibe was less fun than we had expected. The music was very low - almost not there. The service was nice, but very matter of fact… (perhaps because we speak English rather than German). But it didn’t have a buzz…

5) Dinner was almost 4 hours. From our POV the pacing often dragged.

6) Some dishes were very salty - especially the egg and mushroom dish.

Overall if felt like a test kitchen rather than a polished service of refined dishes. That would be fine if the price tag was much better value.

I think they have lots of promise, but haven’t found their feet yet.

Very nice restaurant with friendly personnel.
Each course was delicious and decoratively arranged. The served wine accompaniment was well chosen.
A very good place to have a team dinner or enjoy a good dinner.

Thanks a mil for a great evening!

Food is good. Whole dinner experience was a bit too draggy at 4hrs. They have an extensive wine list.

Simple menu: 4 or 6 course for dinner.
Love that it’s hidden in an urban museum in Munich. Food art meets street art.
Very friendly service, kept making sure I was enjoying every single course/ and its pairing wine.
Serving very good Bavarian Riesling at a rather reasonable price.
The entire space is not big, can fit in about 35 pax, very cozy, love the ambience. Will definitely suggest to make a reservation if you’re coming after 7pm.

excellent Michelin star restaurant in the center of Munich.

It is a lot less formal than other star restaurants in Munich, such as the Schwarzereiter. It has more of a Berlin vibe to it. Nevertheless, the experience is absolutely great.

We went for lunch and took the 5 courses menu, which was just enough, not too much food. I liked everything they brought to us, but the fish (perch) and the meat where just astounding.

In terms of drinks, they have a really nice selection of wines. You can go with Augustiner if you want to as well. We had a schnapps in the end that was really really tasty, though really pricy.

In terms of price, it's about what you can expect for a 1-star. The menu is cheaper if you go for lunch, by the way.

The only thing I didn't quite like: The chairs were a bit uncomfortable.
