This shop has some nice furniture and a friendly lady helped us well on our first purchase. However, once we paid, the customer service became the worst I have ever experienced.
At the end of November, we ordered a sofa and a bed. The sofa was already on stock and the bed would be available for pick up in around 2 weeks, latest end of December they told us. Since I have a small car which is not suited to pick up everything, we decided to rent a van to pick up both products once the bed arrived. 10 December, we got a small letter simply stating that the sofa would only be arriving by the end of January. Since of course we were not informed what was going on, we went there in person a few days afterwards to ask about this. A very rude lady who refused to speak English or ask for someone who could speak English explained to us simply that due to the current Corona situation everything was delayed and that both pickup and delivery services of Momax were canceled until 10 January. She was making fun of us saying “do you see this mask? Do you realize what is going on?” We were of course not happy but found a second employee who told as that both pickup and delivery services are still working and assured the bed will be delivered before the end of December. We would get called by someone from the delivery service in max two days to make an appointment. No call came. So, today we called to costumer service and they said that pickup service was not working anymore, and that the delivery service was fully booked until somewhere in January. So now, we will still be sleeping on the ground for quite a while.
This is no way how to treat a costumer and lying/having no clue about their own company policies is definitely not ok.
P.S.: We know about the current corona regulations which clearly state on the bundesregierung website that: “Der Groß- und Einzelhandel bleibt weitestgehend geöffnet. Das gilt für Lebensmittelgeschäfte, Abhol- und Lieferdienste …”. I guess this means that pick-up and delivery services are not legally forbidden to operate, even though two employees claimed the opposite.
