The food is made with quality ingredients and tastes amazing the vegetarian options don't lack anything either, the owners are kind and the service was magnificent. If you're looking for good Indian food in München then I recommend mataji's kitchen you won't regret it.

Very tasty Indian food in a sofisticated place. You feel that all dishes have been slow cooked and homemade. I had a variated option with Dal Tarka, Lamb Curry and Chicken Korma. I cannot say which one was better. As a starter they welcomed us with Papadam and 3 dip sauces. 5 stars well deserved.

One of the worst Indian restaurants I've ever been to. Tasteless food, bad service. I would request anyone not to go here at all. I think they treat Indian customers differently as compared to non-Indians.
This place serves the worst tandoori chicken I've ever seen - it was similar to the one you get in supermarkets, not marinated at all and was completely tasteless. The meat was stuck to the bone. Moreover, it was showered with extra virgin olive oil, which just does not go with Tandoori chicken.
We also ordered chicken Biryani, expecting it to be atleast normal. But were disappointed again, as the rice was completely drenched in oil, no marination on the chicken and just bland and tasteless. The oil just stuck to the inside of my throat and I had to mix in some plain rice to make it palatable.
The worst of it all was the tea. It is very difficult to screw up indian tea. On top of that, when asked for a cup without sugar, we were given the reason that the tea is made once an hour and they cannot make one fresh. This is simply unacceptable. To add to the experience, the tea turned out to be the most horrible I've ever had in any Indian restaurant. Too sweet, too stale and boiled over and over again, with a slight oily coating on the top.
The butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and rice were passable, again a bit too oily. Only the plating seems to be good.

Staff is friendly. The best Mango Avocado salad available here, however Murgh Hariyali spoiled my mood but owner appreciated my feedback and promised to improve the recipe, which I liked
