I wanted to go here since ages, always thought this would be a hidden gem.
In general everything is ok, the pizza is decent but not specifically a highlight.
Tiramisu is pretty good.

Staff was really friendly.

All in all a good experience, 4/5.

Small but very cozy, true italian place. Only negative part of the experience was that unlike in Italy, they closed very early ;)

I’m a bit split about this place

+
The food was really good, had fresh parpadelle with salmon which tastes amazing and the Panna cotta was one of the best I had

You enter the place it’s so smelly as in there is no ventilation at all, it’s too bad
Our waitress wasn’t the best and she left half of the service which left us with the owner who didn’t care that were there. We waited 30 min and decided to stand and get the menu for dessert and then again to go to him to order our dessert...it was like if you’re not Italian he doesn’t talk to you, weird feeling
Finally, you can recommend the tiramisu fine but once, I don’t find it nice to try to push so much something when your customer is asking you for something else..simple commercial logic

Conclusions : you go there for the food that’s it
If your looking for service then no
Basic casual atmosphere

The best and genuine Italian food in Munich! Don't expect fine-dining, Salvatore caters to the local neighbourhood and the bistro itself is more like a living room. Wonderful, delicious home cooking and very well priced for Schwabing

Hands down some of the best pasta and pizza I have ever had in my life. Get the carbonara or gorgonzola pesto you won’t regret it

It’s our Italian local in Munich. Salvatore the owner has run this restaurant for 35 years and is on hand every day preparing fresh pastas and pizzas. His Pizza Diavolo is my favourite in Munich and it’s delicious. With nice spicy salami and anchovies with a good pinch of crushed dried red chillies on top. Prices are extremely reasonable and it’s a one man show with some help in the evenings.

I love it here and it’s a totally unpretentious place with good homemade Italian food for a very reasonable price. I can usually get a meal here for under €10 and have a good chat to Salvatore while waiting for it to be prepared. Places like this are so hard to find in Munich as they preserve a bit of the atmosphere of the neighborhood.
