Friendly staff. Tasty Flammkuchen.
Food takes a decade to be served, after your order. Different meals are available at different times. Staff: "It takes to much time for the chef to clean afterwards" (explanation, why we couldn't have a Flammkuchen at 3 p.m.).

Wonderful, relaxed event location, restaurant and bar with excellent drinks and delicious food. I celebrated my birthday here and was genuinely surprised by the exceptional service, kindness and attention to detail shown to me. My friends and I had a wonderful time in the cozy, homely atmosphere at Holzkranich. I can highly recommend this unique place.

I was very nicely surprised with the burger. Not too salty, quite a good meat cutlet. Very nice interior. The only small suggestion: what about adding some more wine varieties as fondue can match good with Swiss white wine? Anyway, great place, would happily visit again:)

Based on the positive reviews in the Süddeutsche Zeitung we decided to book the location for a private event with 50+ attendees and weren't disappointed at all.

The location itself is situated in lovely Max Vorstadt and while parking can be a problem it's easily accessible by u-bahn. The different areas (Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer, Party Keller) are decorated with style and make you and your guests feel welcome and at home instantly. Drinks u0026 food are decently priced and of top quality and did not disappoint.

But most importantly - the staff! From barkeepers to service to security - super friendly and paying attention to details, ensuring our guests had an unforgettable evening and truly enjoyed the night at the Holzkranich.

Gorgeous small bar in our neighbourhood with extended outdoor seating. Good drinks menu and a decent food menu with nibbles, burgers, Flammkuchen and so on. Service is very friendly and we enjoyed our drinks. It’s been around for a while but had never dropped in before. I am glad we did and will come back here again.

From the outside it looks like a nice and cozy bar with a nice terrace, but unfortunately when you don't speak the language you pay 13.40 for a cappuccino and bear.
Watch your bill or you might pay for someone else's drink also.
Really disappointing specially when you are new in the neighborhood.

I trust it wasn't on purpose and we will be glad to come again, of course without a receipt and will be glad to change the stars from 1 when we see that it was an honest mistake.
P.S. It happened today around 5pm, so the nice girl that was working can easily check on tablet what we paid. Maybe it was an honest mistake after all
