The grilled salmon over rice is a joke - it looked and tasted exactly like canned tuna. The yakitori definitely leaves something to be desired, can’t possibly be compared to real yakitori in Japan. The karaage tasted like generic fried chicken. However, the yakiniku-don was surprisingly good and that’s probably the only thing I would go back there for. The service was mediocre to say the least, slow and inattentive. Overall I wouldn’t really recommend.

Good place to go grab some japanese style drinking. Order their whiskey high ball! It very good. I also like their warm sake, karaage(fried chicken) and sushi alot. The grill are okay and so-so.

I had the salmon teriyaki which was dry and there were insects in the sauce. We ordered like five of these and three of them contained insects. It looked really similar to the black pepper so it is hard to notice. I am skeptical if it is actually in the sauce.

I was there several times before and the food was nice. So I will just recommend you to avoid this dish.

Well, we would NOT eat it if we saw it before. We just noticed while eating and directly tell the waitress. Also, I think that “not charging” is a common practice. Should I really feel thankful? Actually, we don’t want a refund or a replacement, but a clean food. Why don’t you try cooking without insects? :)

The food was already disappointing but your reply is even worse.

A bit pricey but pretty good food. The best thing that I tried was grilled eggplant ???? delicious ???????? the basic maki are overpriced, so better go for more special foods here.

My friends and I ordered two rice bowls with Japanese fried chicken (Karaage) and Salmon. Takoyaki and an additional Karaage because I love fried food. The Karaage was very crunchy, I think they double fried it or something to get that extra crunch and crispiness. Chicken was moist too because I hate dry fried chicken. Kushi-tei in Munich is definitely authentic Japanese restaurant that offers much more than just sushi. You rarely find this kind of Japanese restaurant in Munich. The menu is extensive and diverse so I gotta go back to try new things.

Amazing authentic Japanese food in Munich!, run by Japanese owner. All the dishes are tasty and good quality! This is how real Izakaya supposed to be with reasonable and affordable price. You will find a lot of Japanese customers here, good vibes for a long drink and talk. They also offer several options of Japanese alcohol. Highly recommend! Will definitely come back.

Kushi-Tei was recommended to me by a colleague for its authentic Japanese food. We ordered and shared a few dishes and each one was super delicious and beautifully arranged! I can recommend the Pork belly, Kawa (crispy chicken skin) and octopus balls. Prices are above average but really ok for Munich and the quality of the food. Make a reservation up front, ideally the day before, if you're planning to go on Saturday.
