They were supposed to be open until 1:00am. We got here at 11:40
pm and the Maître d‘ was most unpleasant and wouldn’t let my wife and I inside.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Munich that we keep on coming back. Always daily menu, always fresh ingredients, always friendly and suggestive service. Nice atmosphere and quite diverse menu, everyone can find something for themselves. Wines always great and just that prosciutto standing there, freshly cut for you. Makes my heart always smile.

I simply love this place! It's the best Italian in Munich by far. And you have to try their ice cream creations! Santo is an awesome chef and the whole team is just lovely! And for business people, they offer a lunch menu for 10€ with a salad a main dish and a drink. I will come back whenever I crave Italian

We've visited Friulana two years ago and visited it last weekend.
What an improvement, now they've moved the restaurant to a building at the opposite side of the road.
A light restaurant and modern toilets.
We've been there for lunch and dinner.
The pasta for lunch was good. The salad a bit plain.
We loved the meat dish with salad we had for dinner.
The friendly hostess advised us a nice white wine that fits our taste.
And the home made ice cream is to die for, Delicious.

Fabulous food at reasonable prices that would also be competitive outside of costly Munich.

We visited twice within a couple weeks and the food was consistently great both times. The steak for two was tender, juicy, perfectly prepared and seasoned (at half the price, but similar portion size, of a "Steak Florentine" we had at another Italian restaurant). The seafood platter was perfect and the pastas nicely al dente and flavorful (especially the truffle). The vegetable sides were also nicely crispy and not the overcooked German style. Dessert was super; tiramisu, panna cotta, but especially the tartuffo (we had mint). One of our party described it as his taste buds exploding from so much flavor.

Other nice touches included being served by one of the proprietors, changes of plates and cutlery between servings as well as a calm environment in which to have comfortable conversation with suitable background music at an appropriate volume.

Of the three Italian restaurants visited by our party of 6 during this visit to Munich, this one was by far the best for both food and ambiance.
