Quiet and clean place for a walk, really disconnects you from the noise of the city. And those of us who are dark tourists will enjoy the beautiful mausoleum and the intricate gravestones, some of them from the 1700s!

Take a step out of the buzzy City of München and take some walk over here. Quiet time and also a lot of interesting tombstone.

Beautiful old cemetery - many famous Munich personalities are buried here, for example: "Georg Simon Ohm (1789–1854 – 65 Jahre) – Physiker, nach ihm wird der elektrische Widerstand in Ohm (Ω) gemessen" or "Max von Pettenkofer (1818–1901 – 82 Jahre) – Chemiker, Hygieniker, Initiator der Münchner Kanalisation und der zentralen Trinkwasserversorgung". Get away from the city hectic and relax here. For the last few years I have been coming here with my mother in her wheelchair and going for long walks. The peacefulness of the old cemetery has been good for her.

An intensely atmospheric place that brings you back to a past Munich. You can lose yourself amidst the old tombstones and you never know who you might find to be buried there - I stumbled across the grave of two Dukes who were honoured by George Washington due to their service on the battle of Yorktown in the American Revolutionary War. During Autumn, it's magical.

Best place in Munich to play pokemon go during events. It is also beautiful to go for a walk with many benches to sit down.

It's a graveyard, I don't know really how I would judge a graveyard. The grounds are well kept and I couldn't see any litter as I walked through.

Very quite and peaceful. Good place to go for a stroll.
