Honestly, I don't get the hype about this chain. The ingredients are freshly prepared as is their claim, you can watch the staff work on each order. Portions are filling, burger toppings customisable, free refill of soft drinks and ketchup etc. at the stations. Staff was friendly, service quick.

Yet the quality and taste in my opinion is just mediocre for a pretty high price (you can easily spend 15-20€ on a meal). You can get much better ground meat at the butcher's for a much lower price for example. And there are many better chains in North America than Five Guys (which actually isn't that popular there). Burger bread was rather stale, soggy, and fell apart when eating just minutes after getting my meal.

The overall concept is rather simple with burgers in aluminium foil, fries in a paper cup independent of you take out or eat in. Interior design feels more like a hospital or ward than a restaurant. Cleanliness could be improved, there were leftovers from burgers etc. on every table.

Came excited left disgusted.

A list of things that were wrong:
1. cold burger buns - while taking a bite, they literally had 10 degrees Celsius…
2. soggy burger - after the burgers are prepared, they’re wrapped in aluminium foil which results in burgers becoming all soft, squishy and well, soggy.
3. dirty tables - the staff didn’t clean the tables. First we waited for our order and saw that some tables were dirty and then once we had our food bag we went upstairs where the situation wasn’t any better. Being hungry, we sat at a table that has some trash laying all around and had to clean it ourselves.
4. waiting time - I thought fast food chains are meant to be fast? We waited 27 minutes for our order. Waste of time.
5. prices - we expected some high quality and truly incredible flavours for more than 10€ for a cheeseburger. Our whole „dinner“ cost 34€ and for that price you can eat something really nice somewhere else and have a lovely atmosphere on top of that.
6. french fries - the best item from the order but overall not the best fries of my life - they did have a nice flavour and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, however we had so many pieces that were old - brown, wrinkled and soggy. Some had burnt ends.

The 7th location I've been to across the US and Europe. Was above average. Worth a visit if a juicy burger with fresh veggies and crispy fries/chips is what you're craving

Premium american junk food in Europe!!! ????????
Fries are fresh, burgers are juicy and you can have them exactly as you like - toppings, sauces and everything without extra charge! Gotta admit it feels good not having to pay for ketchup-mayo! ???? TOP location, I recommend getting a takeaway and cross the road over to Messersee lake where you can sit and relax :)

Awesome burgers as usual. Currently can't sit inside due to corona but outside enough space to sit on a bench! Bacon cheeseburger is awesome as usual and hotdog is just delicious! Good selection of sodas and prices are pretty reasonable.

Hi its so difficult to get a great burger in Germany as they prefer eating pig here. So happy five guys arrived) Quality is always consistent and amazing fried and shakes.

While on a business trip I went to eat here with colleagues. They were fast, professional and the food is really amazing. Value for money is one of the best in this part od Munich.
