I was there for brunch buffet. The buffet, the food are tasty but I’d wished for more varieties. The service are nice and friendly but not very effective. My water glass is dirty, so I asked for a new one. I had to asked twice to get finally a new one. I asked for a cappuccino and got served with a normal coffee, half an hour later she brought me another cappuccino. ???? The pancakes was cold but the seafood was very delicious.
I think it’s worth a try there. In summer it’ll surely nice sitting on the terrace.

Very classy place. I never expected to see the horses so it was such a delight. I would recommend this place as a good venue for drinks. The service here is excellent . Waiters can speak both English and German.

Cafe with very upscale prices. I'm not sure what's supposed to justify them, other than its beautiful location in Schwabing, near the English Garden.

It is most certainly not the quality of service. First off, after about 15 minutes of waiting, we were relegated to a fairly bad table, even though there were plenty of nicer seats without an obvious reservation. Waiters took forever to bring our orders, in long intervals, and only after several times of asking.

The ambience outside was wholly without its charms, but not special either. My glass was broken, as were the lights in one bathroom and half the faucets in the other.

The drinks and the cake were fairly tasty, but nowhere near as 'outstanding' as the prices.

The service and experience I had here inspired me to leave my first review ever. The interior decoration is nicely done; however.

Upon arrival to a virtually empty restaurant, me and my younger group who was dressed a bit more casually were instantly made to feel judged.

Repeatedly we were asked if we were actually here to dine, three different members of the waitstaff approached us after seating and asked us if we would actually like to see a menu or we were just here to have drinks.

In retrospect maybe we should have heeded their warning.

The schnitzel was pretty good however both of the burgers we ordered came from the kitchen completely raw, as someone who eats a lot of quite rare meat I can assure you that these burgers were barely cooked in the middle. Essentially raw ground beef.

One of my group ate it out of respect however the other’s was a touch too raw.

Three out of the five things we ordered were of barely edible quality. The waiter was consistently rude and refused to be friendly despite us being in good spirits and genuinely ruined our day.

Splitting the bill seemed like an impossible task. The food ended up being ridiculously expensive and after the service was quite consistently terrible and being treated rudely we even tipped two euros but the the waiter actually had the audacity to mention it not being enough of a tip and then we tipped him out of pity.

Never in my life have I been guilted into tipping someone after being treated rudely. Not meeting the basic minimum edible standard and then demanding more of a tip afterwords.

However the location is pretty.

Have to say the reviews are accurate. The food is very expensive, even by Munich standards (whereas the prices for the drinks are average). Sadly, the price does not match the quality. Multiple dishes at our table were oversalted, and the tagliatelle with truffles swam in a puddle of pasta water. The drinks I felt were slightly watery as well. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed, as we had to remind them of almost every drink order 3 times before they brought it out (do you not want to sell wine?) and we had to wave them over most of the time.

All in all, it seems to me that - like every restaurant right now - they were lacking skilled staff in both the kitchen and in the service area. This is fine - but then an adjustement of the prices is necessary.

Right now, it's sadly an expensive restaurant were you smell horse the entire time and the staff and food does not meet the standards set by the price.

Food was ok.

It was 35 degrees out and I took my bike to meet friends. When I arrived I ordered a cappuccino and asked Boris for a glass of tap water with it. My friends ordered bottled water. He proceeded to bring the bottled water with an extra glass for me and poured it in front of me. I said again, I’d please like a glass of tap water. My food came, and he still ignored my request. Another server heard me ask a third time, and he said let me get that for you right away and apologized. This is normal to get a glass of water with a coffee and in this heat water should not be denied to its guests! I think the restaurant should look into these reviews on poor service, and I guarantee they are mostly directed at Boris.

Who experiences racism in this place?
I visited Café Reitschule last Saturday without a reservation. As the first one who arrived from my group, I asked for a table for 3 and the door guy told me "unfortunately there is no table today." However, 5 mins later my American friend could not believe it and walked in and asked again. Another lady told her that tables on the balcony were available.
I do not understand why the restaurant said the difference between asian and white guests.
Whatever the truth was, my personal experience in this place was very unpleasant and disappointing.
