I had the application number: GWF063375225

I lost the chance for one of the most important business meetings in my entire professional career. They didn't care about the deadline although I had enough buffer.

When I applied, the UK.GOV website had only one reading on its website 99% of applications are handled within 15 working days. But alas, waited for a significantly more than that. Into 5th week.

I think it is totally unfair that normal visiting visas and business visas are within the same category.

No apologizes words can ever bring the business opportunity back now... I am beyond disappointment and frustration...

Please respect people's time and business opportunties. If you do, more business and talent would consider you. But for me personally now, this would definitely be something to bear in mind for the future.

Applied for a visitor visa 9 weeks (!) ago, still no reply and cannot reach anyone to find out when I can expect the result. On the web page it says the processing time is 6 weeks and they are "working hard" to reduce it back to 3 weeks. What should I think waiting 9 weeks? Shame on you, british consulate...

Consular service: fantastic! The staff there, security and consular, were helpful friendly and very accomodating. Many reviews here are concerning outsourced services (visas etc), but the service at the consulate itself is absolutely fantastic.

HMRC have made an error on my 18 year old daughter's National Insurance Number As a result a British citizen has serious issues affecting her future. WE asked the Consulate to verify her passport, her ID and her personal details to send to HMRC to try to correct the error. The Consulate is unwilling to assist.

The purpose of the British consulate no help whatsoever DAwful service,don't understand, still 2 years later I don't know what they do? They had a guy on security at the door who didn't speak English? If you can find out the reason for this place I will buy you a beer. Try to phone and you get answer machine.
