It's a very big book store. The staff is extremely friendly and you can approach them with all book related questions. The store has a wide variety of books. It also has a cafe on the first floor but it is closed die to COVID-19 (as of 5/11/2021).

Great store and very friendly helpful staff. I asked for advice and definitely got some good recommendations. Besides books they offer a lot of other things as well. Great store to look around

I like the atmosphere there , there is no area for scientific books that was the only bad thing since I visited to buy a physics book. But still a good book store overall.

Huge store with books on every topic. Friendly and helpful staff willing to show the way or help locate particular books etc. Loved the huge variety and found gift ideas to last the year. Was surprisingly great being in a real bookstore again :)

Anybody know the problem with Amazon ... you search something, you find too fast, you buy it too fasst ... there is no exciting shopping feeling, just hopp and go ... for 95% of your daily business it's ok, but sometimes you have no idea what you really need for, what you look for your friends or for your parents ... a small or big book as a gift for birthday or Xmas-time ... than it's time to go to a real bookstore, maybe a big one like the Thalia. These bookstore chain market is one of the big business ... nobody love them really, but they do their good job! You can find all the normal blockbuster and top ranking books, and you can find all the smaller and bigger output of books they produce year by year ... and nobody can read all. Some of the books they offer with personal recommandations of the book seller or shop owner, normally is not necessary but sometimes you find a hidden writer of short stories and these could be helpful for you decision to buy or not. By the way if you like it you can buy it ... together with some other chinese decoration trash, they offer you like in every of the 1-Euro-shops around the city. By the end the Thalia bookshop is a good location to spend lonley times with good books. Enjoy it.

Great book store. Being a non-native German I often wish that there were more places for English books as well, however I have found quite a few books that I really enjoyed in the English section here.
