I enjoyed it so much!

The experience starts on the sidewalk looking in. The court yard is impressive and the palace just feels, homey, if it makes sense.

The entrance was 9 euros and I received an electronic guide in English which was surprisingly amazing.
The information was interesting and it was read in an engaging way. Also, it was usually accompanied by baroque music.

Before starting the 'tour' you need to leave your bag at a locker room, so make sure you have a 1 or 2 euro coin. You will get it back when you leave.

Inside the palace you can enjoy both the rooms and the architecture, but also pieces of furniture and artifacts.

There are several rooms, and several floors.
One of the rooms is an interactive music room. You get a pair of headphones and can plug them in at different stations and listen to music and explanations. However - the explanations are in German. I didn't see an option to hear it in English.

It is just the right size - enough to see without getting tired or bored, and leaving wanting more.

At the end, where you bought the ticket you can buy some post cards and souvenirs - very reasonably priced.

The courtyard and the exterior of the building look impressive. But it seems it’s under restoration or something, everywhere there are construction material or barricades. When I arrived I even didn’t know if it’s open or not. When I finally figured out the entrance and entered in, I lost my interest to go on the tour. Maybe another time.

Palace Mannheim was my favorite thing to do :) We took a guided tour at 11 a.m. There are not so many rooms as in Versailles but Palace Mannheim has more windows thus it is distinguished for being the second-largest Baroque complex globally. Definitely recommend if you love history and German castles

Stunning Baroque palace is overwhelming with its gigantic size and vibrant colors!

Unfortunately I was not able to visit the museum as it closes at 5 PM (frankly that is quite early) therefore I could only appreciate the outside courtyard and its statues. As part of the palace is occupied by university, the place was super quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Small seating area was located at the main entrance to the complex. Visited in June 2022.

Since Germans are full of money, they painstakingly reconstructed this huge baroque palace even though almost nothing was left of it after World War II. The frescoes by Cosmas Damian Asam were redone in the style of an 8-years old by some guy they found on the street. They are painful to look at. Spare time and money and skip it.
