I came here with a group on a rail holiday. The hotel is well situated for rail travellers, but construction work on the station forecourt blocked access to the hotel, so we struggled with our cases to enter the hotel. The booked evening meal was not available and the substitute restaurant was unprepared for the size of our group.

Massive construction right in front the hotel. Starting right at 7:30 am in the morning you get very loud construction noise.
This is as of June 2022 and I suspected it taking at least 2 more months. If this is a concern for you I would advise to stay away.

If the hotel management was good they would make you aware of it on their website during the booking process- then you can at least plan for it. Also the curtains allow for at beast minimum darkness mit the room- which should be also improved!

Although we pre arranged for early checkin we could not be accommodated. Apart from the floor in the bedroom not being vacuumed everything else was very good.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Had some nice conversations here. Very clean, tv channels ok but it has 3 sports channels from SKY sports.

The only thing that I didn't really like was.

Pillows could use more stuffing but cover was very comfortable. .

Breakfast wasn't mine but ok. Bakery is just 100 m away from exiting the hotel, (50m across from the train station), so you have a choice.

Modern hotel conveniently located at the main train station. Rooms are adequately sized and modern. Breakfast buffet is good, not huge but everything needed and quality is excellent. The one thing not good is the air conditioning, its limited to 3 degrees below outside temperature so in summer its not an option for me. A big plus, unique to Intercity Hotel is they provide a free tram pass (also good for regional trains).

It's proximity to the Banhof is perfect. Very quiet and comfortable room. No noise at all from the trains and nice views from window. Check in and out was a breeze. Cool and contemporary. Hope to stay here again. The regional ticket for public transportation was a nice addition.
