Begrenztes Getränke-Portfolio, man legt mehr Wert auf Atmosphäre und Willkommensein, als auf eine modische Bandbreite von Longdrinks. Getränkepreise sehr günstig.
Im Winter wird noch richtig mit Kachelofen geheizt, die Einrichtung ist schlicht. An der Bar wird mit einer historischen Fotogalerie der jüngeren Familien- und Kneipen-Geschichte seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts gedacht, und Jeannette als Chefin des Hauses hat für jeden ein Ohr und einen Mosel-Korn parat. Ein kleiner Hof lädt auch zum draußen sitzen ein. Publikum gemischt, auch viele Studenten.
Raucherlokal ohne Essen, aber man kann sich Pizza und Food dorthin bestellen oder mitbringen.
Das Hinterhaus ist teils noch im Originalzustand 18./19. JH, die Toiletten liegen über den Hof an Stelle der früheren "Donnerbalken". Es gibt noch ein Original altes Pissoir.
