For a Leipzig visitor I think this outdoorsy cafe/pub type of hip hop alternative place by the canal, that is located next to this incredible ironmakers shed and a community living village, is a must-to-visit. All the tribes of Leipzig come here and is a hangout for the vibrant LGBT+ local family too. If you come by, order this alternative homemade style pizza, its great, you cannot stop having more. Enjoy a bear by the canal at this music friendly bar at night too, you will not regret it.

Nice place with a good sunday brunch buffet. Close to the river and nice architecture and spirit of the place. Sometimes they have small painting exhibitions on the walls.

Tucked away at the end of a quite street, this outdoor cafe serves drinks, cakes and flammenküchen alongside the canal. Friendly, relaxed service. And yummy chocolate cake!

Be aware that on Sundays the only thing one could get is brunch for 17,5€ pro person. Pricey for what looked like left overs... didn’t taste tho!
