Great atmosphere. Good local beer. Nice for drinks., Schnitzel was tough and overcooked and potatoes bland. Partners humus was great.

The staff were very kind and made the experience a nice time. The food was very expensive for some rather basic German and Central-European dishes. Maybe I am used to schnitzel in Vienna, but I was surprised at how small the portion was. This wouldn't be a problem if it was exceptional quality, but it was a small piece of veal over an oversized portion of peas. I enjoy "hausmannskost" as much if not more than the next person, just not for 12-17 euros a plate. I would not say this is moderate pricing at all, especially given the cost of living in Leipzig and especially Connewitz.

That being said, the beer was good and as mentioned before the staff was as well.

In the most attractive quarter and used by a friendly local crowd. Rooted in the soil. Very moderate pricing for very good German food. Late at night they allow for smoking inside. In the summer you can sit outside in a city beer garden.

Overall it's a nice place with great food. Their cook is really creative and makes unusual combination of food but the taste is really good. But sometimes it's just overcooked :/

Rather expensive, but has a really cosy Biergarten and is run by very friendly personal.

Best German food you’ll eat, beautiful beer garden and inside pub, wonderful friendly service.
