The cuisine is German, but with very fine attention to detail. The beer was well priced. Although we initially struggled to speak German, the staff humoured us before we embarrassingly had to resort to English. The couldn’t have been nicer to our 9month old either. If we’re coming back to Kiel, we’re coming back to this restaurant.

Such a nice place to enjoy dinner that you need to make a reservation in advance. For me the lady was so kind and let me set behind the bar table as everything were booked. And I enjoyed my meal. Cozy atmosphere.

Quiet and classic. Really well prepared food and a good drinks selection. Nice jazz selection for background music. Good wines.
Welcoming and professional staff.
The only problem for me was that they were supposed to have good wi fi. It was free, but very very slow.
It is the sort of place where you should sit down with company and slowly enjoy your food with a good conversation. You shouldn't t want to work there.
So, all together, very enjoyable and well recommended.

Simple but very well prepared food with prime ingredients, a no e drinks selection, served on white cloth covered tables with a nice jazzy background music on low volume. Service is impeccable. Simple a good restaurant and that, is actually not all that simple. Highly recommended.

a very good 3 course menu: tasty for reasonable price. staff is friendly and ready to help. the place is good to visit both with friends or on your own. pleasant atmosphere and very good location, right in the heart of the old city center

Very good service in a cosy atmosphere. We got the Wiener schnitzel we came for and it met expectations. A place to come again.
