Surprisingly good! Comfortable room, lovely staff and service and the location was walking distance to everything we needed. We had our dog and it was also no problem at all. It was just a short stop for us, but it was very nice. The only issue was it was pretty warm and there was no AC

The room was clean but it didn’t have air conditioning, so you need to open the window and it was too noisy to sleep.
The staff were nice but the chief (a woman, who was not dressed in formal cloths) behaved us so badly and was so non-welcoming. This was the last time we go there.
We traveled with our bikes and we had several luggages so we needed to remove them all from our bikes and took them to the room as the hotel (unlike all the other hotels that we have been in the last years) did not have any place for our bikes inside. In the morning when we wanted to put all our bags back on our bikes (they were many) we brought our bikes temporarily in (we walked in with the bikes not riding them in the lobby, if one can call it a lobby) and the woman behaved us very badly. So embarrassing for a hotel manager that does not know the most basic hospitality rules for the sake of her hotel.

The bald guy working night shifts at this hotel is the nicest guy ever.

And love the design.

Its totally worth the money.

I stayed here for a few days whilst visiting the Navy Memorial at Laboe (a nice ferry-boat ride up the fjord). My room was pristine and very pleasant, with a big picture window opening over the transit-ferry terminal (by which I mean small commuter ferries, not big huge industrial-sized ferries). The staff was polite and friendly, I was afforded every professional courtesy, the breakfast buffet was a really stellar value for money, and the food/drink at the bistro was just the thing after a day of sight-seeing. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the train station where I caught my train to Hamburg at the end of my stay (but there was absolutely no train traffic noise, and I had the window open all night) and there are several other places to eat in the very near vicinity. The next time I am in Kiel I will definitely want to stay at this hotel.

Friendly staff here. Location is middle of the town center. Contvinient to travel. Clean room to stay, all thanks to the service staff with good effort. I feel safe in this area.

This was a great hotel to stay at to visit Kiel. It has a very good location, close to the main station but also to the harbour and water. Staff was very friendly and we got complementary free public transport tickets during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It's old but because of the convenient location and great customer service, I'd definitely consider the hotel again on my next visit.
