Vegan friendly kitchen, amazing pool and great sauna. The room was clean and the bed, comfortable. Friendly staff as well! But bring your own sandals and rope for the pool, you can’t borrow only buy (not crazy expensive tho)

Nice hotel, 5 minutes to the inner city and Harbour of Kiel. Spent here a night before going to the cruise ship - they offer sleep and cruise - means spent one night and than going to the ship and your car can be parked there for the stay on the ship - transfer is also Inclusive. Hotel is very nice, breakfast very good and room and all facilities perfect. Price is high because of season as well as limited availability. Would come again.

Where to start?

First of all the general atmosphere upon entering very much resembles that of returning back home from a long-journey. Hotel Birke immediately transpires a home away from home feel.

Both owners (a couple) were there and present and made sure I felt comfortable and that I knew where everything was situated.

The room itself was cozy, super clean and very much bordered a quality 5* hotel room. The quality and cleanliness of amenities are high. I find the pressure of a shower to be super important and this shower was perfect for my morning cold showers as it engulfed my entire body!

I think the Fu0026B (breakfast and dinner) was the highlight of this hotel. Breakfast in the morning with Anja and her fellow colleagues was glorious. The selection of biological products is like a kid entering a healthy candy store each time! For dinner, I had their Schnitzel with season asparagus and the satisfaction in terms of taste and quantity exceeds what you first had in mind when thinking of the dish when ordering. The restaurant manager and staff at night are highly social and always down for a laugh. The choice to eat silently or have conversations with staff is there entirely.

The Spa was also top-notch! Three rounds of the Finnish Sauna + their 'Eisrregen' cold shower brought me right back and was the perfect way to end my days.

Overall, everything in this hotel is quality, the staff are exceptionally friendly and it seems as if the owners have just simply got things right at this hotel.

Where do I start. Relocated from Astor Campanile after a terrible experience. Birke is an amazing luxury hotel with a Spa, swimming pool and excellent food. Would thoroughly recommend again!

I stayed for five days at Hotel Birke last week, and it was fantastic !!!
The breakfast variety and quality five star. The service always friendly, kind and ready to help, preventing that I need to even ask for anything!
The spa area and the whole hotel is totally clean and the spa area has everything I needed: saunas, steambaths, pool with massage nozzles, a lovely secluded garden with barefoot park as well as an "icerain" shower.
Room was nice, clean and comfortable, perfect for my stay.
Dinner was excellent, I had famous German dish : Matjes with Bratkartoffeln. Recommend.

A nice cozy hotel, with a well made wellness area. Perfect for a day or two of relaxing. The location is really nice with a nearby forrest.

Can't say enough about this place. Great staff; very friendly. The breakfast is good. You are far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to drive into the city center in about 15 minutes. I would stay here again.
