In general it's an old fashion hotel
The bad things about it
* No AC ! It was really hot and we had just one fan in the room ( a fan like in the 80's), also the window didn't open fully.
*The elevator seemed old and also got stuck once, we were afraid to take it
*No mini bar, no fridge so forget about cold water.
*The corridor looks old and dark (see in photos)
The good thing about it
*The staff were friendly and helpful, we asked them to put some things in the fridge and they were cool.
*The location was good, not far from the centre.
*The area is quiet
*The hotel lobby has an interesting design and also a pool table.

Nice decor and atmosphere in the lobby, nice staff.
Looks clean and breakfast is a more-than-OK buffet. However, rooms need reno.

Very special atmosphere, we loved it. Close to the train station. We stayed in the summer of 2017.
The furniture and decorations in the room was also old and a bit worn, but it added to the feeling. Other hotels always have newly produced things wich have no personality and looks cheap.

For the price it’s a decent place to stay and quite central if ur planning a long visit to Kassel- we just spent the night traveling through. The hotel must’ve once been quite beautiful and the enormous art-nouveau styled foyer downstairs with its internal conservatory/atrium is pretty stunning (but the need to clear out all the junk and tourist pamphlets...). However the rest of the place is a bit beaten up and unloved and could use thorough renovation. I was more than happy with the breakfast - the variety and selection was good and I have had much worse at pricier places (but please- no instant scrambled egg powder!!) - anyplace that serves quality strong black coffee is always in my good books.

We stayed here for one night while on our way through. It doesn't look like much, but the staff are friendly and the rooms have everything you need.

It's well located within the city, a short walk from the Hbf and the main shopping area.

Standard Hotel
Breakfast lacking fullness or/and edge. You have some choice but finesse and feeling of luxury is not present coffee is good thou
A feeling of that the hotel have seen better days - everything have fallen into routine and need to do tasks -

Had the worst costumer service here. At the breakfast I played one Instagram video for a few seconds and another guest complained to the manager. Without talking to me first the manager came screaming at me that next time I do the same I will be kicked out. She was so impartial, unfair and rude, I'd never seen anything like it. It was so humiliating and disrespectful. I was in town for work at documenta 14 and it really gave me a bad impression of the hotel and the town. Will for sure never return to any of these hotels and will always give them a bad rep.
