Everything I had here was delicious. BreAd with different spreads, coffee, cakes, everything exceptional. Also the staff is always very friendly. New favourite cafe :)

I'm currently moving to Kassel from Berlin and to be honest I wasn't particularly thrilled about it. I really enjoy good food snd coffee, and especially breakfast/brunch, and I was afraid Kassel wasn't gonna have anything to offer me in that sense. So when I found this place, and upon having my first sip of their cappuccino, I almost teared up! (I'm not even kidding!) The decor is perfect (actually the same exact vibe as my living room decor ????) and the food is delicious!!!! Definitely my new favorite place in my new city ♡

Nice place with a good coffee. A lot of space, self service

Unfortunately I have to give this bad rating. Before documenta this coffee place was nice, had nicely prepared food and drinks and the price was still okay.
Now with Documenta it seems as greed has taken over.
1) In comparison to the most surrounding cafes, here it is still self-service for the price of a hipster place
2) for me the most important - prior to documenta jars to get drinking water were provided. Now no drinking water is provided for free. In a middle European country where tap water is of better quality than bottled water and we try to save energy it is unacceptable to withhold drinking water from customers
2.5) Before Coffee/espresso was provided with a glass of water, not anymore.
3) tried to reserve a table - unfortunately by reserving we got a worse place upstairs which we could not change. So we left and entered again as "unreserved" to be able to choose
of all the free tables

Still good:
Many different types of coffee and nice hipster snacks!

Very nice experience. The restaurant is in a very beautiful location and everything was so freshly prepared. The mozarella cheese tasted super fresh and the best aspect. I am a Vegetarian and had many good options for me as well. Definitely would recommend this.

There are so few places in Kassel where you can feel so good like in Salotto. First of all and most important for me, the interior design. Coming from a country where each Bar and Cafe looks like a small paradise, it is difficult to find a pleasent place to sit and read and have good piece of cake or a good coffee. Salotto is the PLACE where you really can enjoy the place and the atmosphere in Kassel! The staff is really friendly and has such a postive energy! Love the coziness. Amazing place!
