Perfect hotel especially for anyone who is in Kassel for the very first time. Hotel has extremely helpful staff. Don't have enough words to appreciate a certain staff member called Tomas and a certain lady who worked at the Reception during the 7 days that i was resident at Hotel Am Rathaus, very helpful individuals.
Rooms are extremely clean with very fast free WiFi. Hotel easily accessible, just next to a train stage and the rooms are very quiet.
But what i will not forget most is the extra effort the staff at the hotel put in to ensure my comfort at the hotel and the help and directions they gave me on life in Kassel. Great folks working at Hotel Am Rathaus.
I just wish i could give more than 5 stars to the professional, friendly and exceedingly humble staff at Hotel Am Rathaus, they deserve 10 bright stars!

It’s really nice hotel and the staff are super friendly but the hotel has no lift.

Very friendly hosts, no lift, restaurant on the ground floor with outdoor dining, free parking. Price-performance ratio is right, for a single room 100 euros including breakfast and a parking space behind the house is relatively cheap given the location at the time of the documenta, other hotels charge more. Everyone in our group was happy.

Sehr zentrale Lage, direkt neben dem Rathaus, knapp 500 Meter zu den zentralen Dokumenta Stätten. Kleine, saubere Zimmer, Teezubereiter, keine Minibar, winzige Duschkabine mit Waschbecken, alles funktional. Schlichter Frühstücksraum mit ausreichendem Angebot. Sehr freundliche Wirtsleute, kein Lift, im Erdgeschoss Restaurant mit Außengastronomie, kostenloser Parkplatz. Preis-Leistung stimmt, für das Einzelzimmer 100.-€ incl. Frühstück und Stellplatz hinter dem Haus ist bei der Lage zur Dokumenta - Zeit verhältnismäßig günstig, andere Hotels schlagen mehr drauf. In unserer Gruppe waren alle zufrieden.
