Coffee and cakes were in general good. But the table was extremely dirty. See the coffee stains and bread pieces on the table. The staff didn’t even plan to clean when she served the food. Cannot recommend this kind of environment. It’s still covid time.

the waiters were very nice, everybody very friendly. The service was great! The downside is they sell a lot of bread and coffee but nothing for you to put on the bread (no cheese, butter, salami, nothing). The paintings on the first floor are cool but the decoration itself of the whole place is kinda lost, doesn’t go together!

This shop is not friendly. Sandwiches are good. Cakes are very fancy and taste fancy. The staff shout at you and are aggressive. Their aim is to make you feel small and unwelcome and unworthy. Ignore them. It is a game I think . It is not very nice but no-one ever explained to the boss and staff that customers prefer politeness. In Kassel there is no service culture. It is the opposite. You have to assert yourself to buy stuff. Bit like the East Germany used to be! Kassel was very close to the border.

One of the few bakeries in Kassel that still really bake their bread. Suuuper tasty bread rolls and bread. Comes at a price, not Kassel's cheapest.
Go there early (before 9:30 am) on Saturdays and Sundays to still get the full selection of baked items.
They accept payment through cards though no credit cards.

It's not fair it's the bakery down the street so I go there every Sunday and some times during the week.. It tastes great and the stuff are friendly but the most important thing is that they make special things for the holidays and you can order things for birthdays and family festivals.. So all the same I recommend it????
