This is very rare that I give one star to any place but I would say it was the worst hotel experience in my life.

I stayed for 4 nights at this place during my business visit. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can get city view if you are facing street. The hotel is located just next to Karlsruhe Zoo and just 10 mins walk from central station. It is just next to Karlsruhe Convention Centre and new train station.

The bathroom are clean and spacious. The toiletries are good and maintained well. Some staff is good but some need more training, especially empathy for customers.

The breakfast is average but no options for vegetarian person in hot menu. This is very surprising and you don’t even get a bread slice. You can only eat oats, yogurt and croissants. Nothing else.

So what was not working? Air-conditioning was not working in the room and it was so hot in the night. After first night, AirConditioner stopped working. I can fully understand that these things can happen. However, there was no empathy for the customer. The worst was while checking out, I mentioned at front desk that rooms were really hot as AC was not working and the reply was ‘Yes’ and weird look.

There was small window in the room and if you will hear lots of noise if you open it. I left one day early but front desk staff did not ask or show any regret. I wish they operate like 4 star facility not 1-star.

I was in Karlsruhe for business and after a very long international flight I was able to check-in early. Throughout the week all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby phone chargers were also great as I had forgotten mine at home.

We chose this hotel for a weekend getaway in Karlsruhe because of its location, mainly, since it seemed near everything we wanted to visit but not right in the middle of the city centre's potential noise. We were happy with our choice, since it was indeed just a few minutes away from the Schlossgarten and even closer to the zoo (don't go all the way around looking for its entrance, there's the North Entrance just to the left and behind the hotel, when facing it).
We wanted to park at the hotel, but we couldn't find the parking lot when we arrived at Karlsruhe because we put the hotel's name on Google Maps for navigation and we think it may be easier to choose the Congress Center parking lot on your GPS. We ended up parking elsewhere, but that was ok.
Our room was clean and modern, and the breakfast buffet very good. The staff was also very friendly and could help us, even if we don't master German (we speak a little, bit we're more comfortable speaking in English).
Highly recommended if you're visiting Karlsruhe!

Very poor service. Staff followed the Bible to the book... the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing! Especially when it comes to guiding guests with regards rooms and breakfast

Really bad! The room is smelly, dusty, the toilet wasmt clean, we ask for a baby crib, it wasn't prepared in the room. Then we asked again when we checked in, they give us a broken baby crib and said this is the only one we have left as we have so many guests with babies. No kidding. I saw no babies!! For 131 euros rooms with no free water provided, mean really?? Not that i mind to pay that 5 euro per bottle, but you do understand that you are NOVOTEL, part of Accord?? The standaard are high, i expexted! This hotel is on renovation , yeah i got it, but for real, you already have smelly,dusty en dirty toilet+provided a broken crib (your staff should noticed it)u003d you should not charge for a bottle of water. I would not recommended this hotel to anyone. Booked a motel or something!

Good location u0026 good breakfast. Unfortunately didn't get to test Sauna or other additional amenities as they were closed because of Covid.
Has a little bit of a business hotel character. Rooms are reasonably sized. Furniture looks a little old and rooms could be a little cleaner
