Very convenient place for "après work" drinks and dining with colleagues, friends and family. In the "Alter Schlachthof" section of Karlsruhe, off Durlacher Allee, the area is quite peaceful and quiet, even though it's near busy streets and the Fest grounds.

Aside from a nice selection of beer and other drinks, Carl's has a nice, compact menu of food choices that not yet failed to satisfy.

Make sure you try the fries!!

I had a great time with my friends at Carl’s. It was the very first place we went to after lockdown ended for their sunny bier garten.

Super friendly service, very nice and attentive. They were able to understand my terrible German and friendly enough to switch to English to clarify.

Great portions and tasty food!

Great about corona safety regulations too.

Def worth the visit ????????????

Very delicious food, good choice of beer and very good service. Only criticism for the, in my opinion, smaller portions

The old waitress was sooo rude with us, she was speaking violently with angry face, one of our guests forgot to put the fork in her plate to give it, the waitress said why this in your hand? Do you want to take it?!!!!!!!
Unfortunately we had a big team guest from France and had this situation.

The service is bery friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed with no loud music. You can actually converse.

The Burrito Meaty, with shredded beef, is awesome.

Very busy. Seemed popular with the locals. Live piano music. Very warm. Being on my own and wanting a table seemed to cause a little difficulty.

It's not a real log fire. ????
