Two stars for the accommodation itself, quaint little apartment with kitchen and comfortable bed. But reception is so stringent. They asked for our birthday and said it’s German policy even though no other hotel in Germany has asked for it. Then another person at reception felt the need to point out that our credit card is not signed. I didn’t know that was their business. Very much sticklers.

The reception is no flexible at all, even in case of COVID-19 reason, this is not possible to cancel or delay the stay.

Adequately clean and comfortable, but you have to climb up steep steps to a bed in the attic if you get a 4th floor room. Note that each step only works with a specific foot. A slight misstep going to the bathroom in the middle of the night could be disastrous. Overpriced breakfast.

This hotel is a good second choice if you are going to Karlsruhe, they charge almost 13% of the price of a room for a parking lot.
Also, the room they gave us (without asking if we had any inconvenience) was a two floor room with very uncomfortable and dangerous stairs, we were actually afraid every time we got up to the bed and down to the bathroom.
Although it is clean and well located, I would not recommend it.

They would not let us check in due to 'covid protocols' while another hotel would let us check in. On top of this, the staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful in the situation; this hotel prefers you to sleep in your car rather than help you with your issue.

The hotel is nice and cozy. There is own cafe where you can have breakfast for an additional charge. Breakfast - a buffet. The room has a mini-kitchen with stove, kettle and dishes. Also the room has everything you need: TV, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock, etc. The furniture in the room is simple but decent.
The Hotel is located in a happy district, near the center of city (15 min. walk). May be it is the best hotel in Karlsruhe for so little money.
