Nice and clean hotel with spacious rooms near the city center. Very good breakfast which you should book ahead of time otherwise it is 3* more expensive.
The room has everything you need and is good for the business traveler (decent work space, closet, water cooker, refrigerator, enough sockets).
Good water pressure in the bathroom.
One point for improvement may be the sewage system, for some reason the bathroom didn't smell very good although it was clean.

The air-conditioning in my room didn't work for the few days I stayed there and the WiFi connectivity was patchy, but I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and extremely clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was sumptuous and had lots of great options. The hotel is strategically located close to the city center, old town, as well as the main train station. Bus and tram stations are directly opposite to the hotel for easy access to all parts of the city. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely return to the hotel again.

Quite good place service, rooms and staff are nice, but the fire alarm does not work (there was a fire during my stay and you barely could hear the alarm, let alone wake up because of it) and the emergency route is not clearly labelled (misleading in fact, it directs you to an elevator instead of the staircase). Also, the entrance card easily forgets your room (sensitive to being next to phone)

When I booked the hotel I got an email saying 24x7 room service but there was no room service here. Rooms are below average. The window handle was broken. I booked a superior room since they advertise an attached balcony but when I reached the hotel I understood you have to put in a wish list. I will not book again here. Very below average hotel.

Great breakfast service and very comfortable beds. Decoration old fashioned.

In the beginning of my visit I thought I’ll not like the hotel. Everything inside looked slightly old and needed renovation. In the first room that we got the carpet was completely wet. But:
1. The receptionist reacted immediately to our complain. Our room has been changed and all the drinks inside room’s fridge were provided for free as an excuse. Bravo! That’s the client service.
2. It was my husband’s birthday and even before we checked in, we got a bottle of vine as a birthday gift.
3. The room was big and comfortable (in both rooms that we tried)
4. Breakfast was really tasty, way better than in any other hotels. Good surprise for us.
5. Enjoyed the view from our window on the city.
6. The hotel is pet friendly. Saw people staying with their doggies. I guess there is a specific floor for this kind of rooms. Nice.
7. Besides that some stuff in the rooms is old, it kept clean and in a good condition.
The only thing that was actually missing for me is hygiene kit for the bathroom (basic cotton swabs as example) and fresh fruits as a breakfast option (no fresh fruits at all, but maybe we arrive too late and everything has been taken though).
Anyway, for me the client service is a must have and we got it 100%. Will come back again for sure.

I would give this hotel zero stars if possible or lack of care and concern regarding their clients. I requested a refund on an already booked and paid for hotel room due to the recent cancer diagnosis of my young daughter. I sent proof of her diagnosis and her inability to travel due to required chemotherapy treatments. This hotel coldly and callously refused to issue me a refund based on the extenuating circumstances. I cannot believe there are still such heartless companies out in this world that care more about money than people especially considering what COVID has done to our society. Shame on you Leonardo Hotel in Heidelberg. I would stay on the street before giving my money not you ever again especially for services not rendered. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

In response to the owners post, why would I rebook the hotel when I’m in a cancer center hoping my daughter doesn’t die that makes no sense! I stand by my previous post and response you care more about money than people. Do you think I woke up one day and decided that I wanted my daughter to have cancer when I initially booked this hotel; no obviously I did not it. Her diagnosis was a tragic event that I could not anticipate. This was your opportunity to be a decent human being and you failed miserably. I will never stay at your hotel and I will do everything in my power to make sure I inform others of your insensitivity. Shame on you and your organization.
