I visited it on a casual walk to Bismarckplatz and stopped by this cafe. The interiors are old world style and so warm and inviting. The stag is very friendly and helpful. I only had coffee this time but I will be back for good and drinks next time.

Decent coffee shop on a bustling Street before the old Bridge. Staff were incredibly friendly and the place had a really relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast also served u til 3pm for those late risers????????

Today Dec 29, 2019 we come to this cafe but the woman who serve the guest is really not nice. When I come to the bar for order, she keep busy do her things and feel like do not see us at all. After few minutes she to our desk, we dont understand the menu because it is in Deutch.
We just say the name but she said you dont understand the menu then she just left us behind. This is very bad attitude we are tourist and do not ask the food for free but she treat us very bad. I hope she or the owner read this review.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and perfect espresso. We had delicious pasta and salad there and the price was very reasonable. Definitely a great place.

We waited for 20’ for somebody to take our order and more than 1h to actually get the food. Out of 3 people only one was ok with his dish, while the other 2 had mediocre stuff, despite ordering from the seasonal menu. A real disappointment.

The best coffee in town. Always good soup and lunch specials. Very convenient to the Bridge (Alte Bruecke) for sightseers. Service is great and the owner is a wonderful host and speaks English for those just visiting Heidelberg.

If you go to Heidelberg for a salad and sandwich, you will like the place. If you are looking for local food, look elsewhere like next door at Vetter's.
